Abdurazak Abdurham was born in Gumer, Ethiopia a rural village about 3 hours southwest of the capital city Addis Ababa. He lived in a refugee camp until the age of 9 in the neighboring country of Djibouti until his family and him were given refugee asylum to the United State in 1999. He has grown up in Phoenix and considers himself a Phoenician having acclimated to the warm summers they have. He became the first person in his family to graduate from college when he received his bachelors of science in Biology in 2013 and followed with his masters in Science of Health Care Delivery from Arizona State University in 2018. He has always been driven to help others and to make a positive impact on the community. He is grateful for all the opportunities that he has been given throughout his life and feels that we must all give back by helping those around us.
